Were looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Services team, where youll be the first point of contact for many of our prospective clients. In this pivotal role, youll help us build a consistent pipeline of well-qualified opportunities, engaging with decision-makers across sectors including legal, finance, real estate, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing.

As a Business Development Manager, youll be responsible for identifying and engaging potential clients, uncovering their challenges, and creating opportunities that align with Forfusions solutions. Youll book and qualify meetings for our Account Managers and Solutions Specialists, while also taking ownership of opportunities through the sales cycle. From shaping proposals to nurturing relationships, youll play a central role in driving new business and contributing directly to our ambitious growth strategy.
Responsibilities
* Research accounts to identify key decision-makers, sector challenges, and potential fit with Forfusions services.
* Conduct targeted prospecting via phone, LinkedIn, email, and events to engage potential clients.
* Follow up promptly on inbound leads and marketing-generated contacts.
* Utilise existing network of contacts as well as identify and nurture key relationships within both prospect and target organisations.
* Qualify opportunities using agreed frameworks (e.g., SPICED, MEDDPIC) and progress them through the sales cycle.
* Create and maintain a consistent pipeline of well-qualified opportunities.
* Book and coordinate qualified meetings for Account Managers and Solutions Specialists.
* Manage and own a sales pipeline for mid-sized opportunities.
* Schedule and lead discovery calls, proposals, and presentations with support from colleagues where required.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activity in Zoho CRM.
* Meet or exceed KPIs for outreach, meetings, pipeline growth, and revenue generated.
* Collaborate closely with Marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and lead conversion.
Requirements Experience
* Previous experience in B2B business development.
* Proven track record of building a sales pipeline.
* Experience booking qualified meetings and progressing opportunities for senior sales colleagues.
* Experience using CRM systems (Zoho preferred) and prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
* Familiarity with consultative sales methodologies (SPICED, MEDDPIC, Sandler, or similar).
* Exposure to the IT, technology, or managed services sector.
Skills and Attributes
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
* Resilient and persistent when handling objections and managing longer sales cycles.
* Commercially minded.
* Organised and able to manage multiple opportunities and priorities effectively.
* Self-starter with a proactive approach to business development.
* Quick learner with the ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into business value.
* Team player with a collaborative mindset, working seamlessly with Sales, Marketing, and Technical colleagues.
* Sales methodology training or certification.
* The individual must be confident, proactive, and comfortable execute telemarketing campaigns, that generate high-quality leads, via methods including outbound calling and social media.
Desirable Academic Qualifications
* Higher National Diploma (or equivalent).
* Batchelors Degree (2:1 minimum in relevant subject).
