?? Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to support the pre-construction team in preparing accurate and competitive tenders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical building services and experience estimating for projects across the relevant sectors.
?? Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for projects ranging from £500k to £10m+
Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce accurate costings
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
Collaborate with the design and project teams to ensure alignment of scope and pricing
Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required
Identify value engineering opportunities and risk factors
Maintain and update estimating databases and tools
Provide support during bid submissions and presentations
?? Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E contracting industry
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and public health
Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Experience working on projects in Leisure, Commercial, Education, and Residential sectors is highly desirable
