Inspire the Future of Pharmacy

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice to join our growing Pharmacy team within the School of Health and Care Sciences, part of the College of Health and Science.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and innovative academic community with a strong commitment to high-quality, student-centred education and impactful professional development. Our pharmacy provision is expanding and includes successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes such as the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm), Independent Prescribing, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The post offers a chance to shape the future of pharmacy education in Lincolnshire and beyond, supporting the development of skilled, confident, and practice-ready graduates who will meet the evolving needs of healthcare systems and the pharmaceutical sector.

As a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy, you will:

* Contribute to the leadership, design, development, and delivery of courses, and/or modules, across the portfolio, in particular the MPharm.
* Engage in interdisciplinary curriculum development within the School and wider College
* Support students academically and pastorally, acting as a personal tutor and project supervisor
* Participate in scholarly activity, professional practice, or pedagogical development aligned to the School’s ambitions
* Collaborate with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to enhance the educational experience and student outcomes
* Engage with external stakeholders and placement providers

Depending on your background, this role offers scope to develop a strong academic profile in pharmacy education or professional practice, including working closely with professional bodies, industry partners, and community stakeholders.

We are seeking applicants with:

* A strong academic or professional background in pharmacy education
* Strong clinical background
* A passion for teaching and learning and a commitment to student success
* An interest in curriculum development and delivering high-quality, inclusive education
* Interest in education leadership
* A collaborative and flexible approach, with excellent communication and organisational skills
* A willingness to contribute to the School’s scholarly activity

We welcome applications from candidates with higher education teaching experience who are looking to progress in their career.

If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in pharmacy education and would enjoy working in a collaborative academic environment, we would love to hear from you.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact David Aziz, Director of Pharmacy Education, at daziz@lincoln.ac.uk .
