We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Projects team and ensure the flawless operation, service, and maintenance of our ventilation units.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for site works including:
* Final inspection
* Setup
* Commissioning
* Servicing
* Repairs, and
* Occasional installation assistance
You will be the technical point of contact for clients on-site, ensuring systems operate efficiently and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site final inspections and commissioning of ventilation units.
* Fault-find, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical components (e.g., PCB boards, fans, sensors).
* Undertake servicing on completed projects and provide aftersales support to clients.
* Assist installation teams as required.
* Produce site reports and documentation of work completed.
* Provide technical support, problem-solving, and system demonstrations to clients.
* Participate in site and project meetings; liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
* Ensure compliance with site-specific risk assessments, RAMS, and health & safety regulations.
* Travel frequently across the UK and be prepared for overnight stays.
Requirements:
Essential:
* HVAC service experience, preferably in the construction industry.
* Mechanical and electrical systems knowledge.
* Familiarity with basic PLC controls (hardware and software).
* Electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Relevant CSCS card.
* Valid UK driving license (manual cars & vans).
* Enhanced DBS Check
Desirable:
* Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree).
* PLC programming experience.
* Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH).
* Modbus/BACnet/BMS knowledge.
* Mechanical/Electrical installation experience.
