Job overview
A new exciting position position has arisen to lead the clinical audit & training team within the EOC. The post holder will be required to lead the audit and training team to meet their targets and deliver high quality and robust training and quality assurance of the clinical telephone triage.
There is also a need to use the data to assist with the identification of areas of development required on an individual and team level and assist/develop new ways to improve and strengthen the clinical triage model.
Main duties of the job
Directly lead the clinical audit & training team supporting them in their own performance, development and well being.
Ensuring that audits and training being delivered are consistently of a high level of quality and robustness.
Reviewing of trends and data to identify ares of improvement for individual clinicians, specific EOCs or for the ECAT team as a whole. Working closely with the clinical management team within the ECAT team to ensure collaboration between the two departments.
Deliver feedback both positive and constructive and offer support with development of action plans where necessary.
Lead on the training and audit of the agile services and support the wider clinical triage teams such as AP's, SPUC's, Clinical Hub's and ensuring a uniform audit and governance process.
Review and development of the ECAT training and identify/develop CPD for the ECAT team.

The East of England works alongside 17 Acute Trusts with Accident & Emergency services and a Major Trauma Centre in Cambridge. Access is available to neighbouring MTCs such as those in London.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. NMC/HCPC registered clinician
2. 3 years’ post registration in an acute setting
3. 2 years’ experience in either the AOC or a healthcare training environment
Desirable criteria
4. EMD instructor/Willingness to complete
5. CCORD trained/Willingness to complete
6. Post registration qualification
7. Previous line management experience.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria
8. Excellent communication skills in all forms (verbal, written, non-verbal, presentation).
9. Ability to plan, implement and manage the department, strategy, policies, and procedure to ensure that corporate objectives and targets are being met.
10. Sound clinical judgement and ability to challenge and provide constructive feedback to poor clinical skills/knowledge.
