As a Privacy Analyst, you will play a central role in supporting Northrop Grumman's data protection and privacy compliance activities across the UK and wider EU region. You will work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders and global colleagues to embed consistent, compliant and secure practices across multiple languages, jurisdictions and business areas. You will contribute to protecting sensitive information, maintaining trust with customers and partners, and enabling safe and compliant operations in a complex regulatory landscape. This role offers significant visibility, autonomy and the opportunity to influence privacy culture across the organisation. Role Responsibilities - Support risk and compliance activities including data inventory, data mapping and other privacy tasks. - Help implement consistent privacy practices across multiple EU and UK entities, ensuring GDPR compliance. - Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to teams on obligations under GDPR and European data protection regulations. - Foster a data protection culture by supporting awareness initiatives and recommending improvements. - Conduct data mapping, data flow reviews and record-keeping activities, including assessing legal bases for processing. - Deliver staff training to raise privacy awareness. - Support privacy assessments, project reviews, Works Council reviews and Data Protection Impact Assessments. - Respond to data subject rights requests in line with company procedures. - Review and maintain privacy notices to ensure transparency. - Review Data Processing Agreements and cross-border transfer mechanisms. - Conduct privacy risk assessments for third-party vendors. - Collaborate with teams globally in a virtual environment. Candidate Requirements Essential - Proven experience identifying risk and implementing mitigation strategies. - Demonstrable experience developing policies and procedures that meet GDPR and data protection requirements. - Experience implementing and managing data protection in a global organisation. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across multiple cultures, stakeholders and seniority levels. - Highly organised with strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. - Strong communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English. - Proactive, innovative approach with the ability to think creatively. - Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously or as part of a virtual team. Desired - IAPP certification such as CIPP/E. - Knowledge of UK and European data protection law. - Experience with analytical problem-solving and structured troubleshooting. - A flexible, responsive attitude with strong customer orientation. - Valid UK driving licence.
