Role
We are seeking a part‑time (0.4) Lecturer in ESOL to provide high‑quality teaching and pastoral support for our students.
As an ESOL Lecturer, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of your learners. You will deliver engaging teaching, alongside effective assessment and feedback, in line with College expectations.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and well‑planned lessons in ESOL and functional skills, fostering an enriching learning environment.
* Develop assessments, mark student work in accordance with awarding body requirements and provide constructive feedback to support their learning progression.
* Utilise high‑quality teaching materials and technology, including our virtual learning environment, to enhance independent learning.
* Maintain an inclusive and disciplined classroom atmosphere that encourages high expectations and personal growth.
* Use initial and continuous assessment strategies to inform lesson planning and support substantial learner progression.
* Actively participate in quality assurance processes, contributing to course reviews and self‑assessment activities.
* Engage with the wider community through partnerships to enrich the learning experience and provide opportunities for personal development and wellbeing.
Criteria
* A PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification
* ESOL Qualification (or related subject)
* Experience of teaching ESOL
* Ability to deliver high‑quality teaching and learning
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver individual and team objectives
* Experience of designing and delivering content and/or learning materials within existing frameworks
