We are seeking a Claims Handler to support our team in providing clients with tailored advice and quality service, managing a portfolio of claims end-to-end. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Bristol, with an average of 2 days onsite per week.
Responsibilities include:
1. Handling phone calls and correspondence related to claims.
2. Registering First Notice of Loss (FNOL).
3. Managing FNOL and monitoring new claims within service levels and insurer arrangements.
4. Maintaining diaries and reports, matching entries.
5. Keeping the Claims Manager informed of issues or complaints.
6. Ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, GDPR, and ethical codes.
Qualifications and experience:
* Minimum 2 years claims experience, preferably in motor, property, or liability claims.
* Experience working for a brokerage.
* Knowledge of General Insurance classes, CII Code of Ethics, GDPR.
* GCSE Maths and English or equivalent; Cert CII is desirable.
Skills required:
* Strong technical insurance knowledge.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency.
* Prioritization, negotiation, communication skills.
