HSEQ Manager
Location: Brigg, Lincolnshire
Salary: A GBP 40,000 : A GBP 45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full:time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:15am : 5:00pm and Friday, 8:15am : 1:00pm
Holidays: 25 days per year plus paid bank holidays
About the Role
Were looking for an experienced and confident HSEQ Manager to promote and support a positive culture of health, safety, environment, and quality across the business. This is a hands:on role in a fast:moving manufacturing environment where youll lead investigations, drive improvements, and ensure full compliance across all HSEQ activities.
Youll be a proactive leader with strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a genuine passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage quality investigations (8D or similar)
* Apply root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and DMAIC
* Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
* Communicate with customers regarding quality issues and attend site visits when required
* Maintain and analyse quality records to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
* Produce and review Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices (SWPs)
* Conduct COSHH assessments and manage compliance with Environmental Permit conditions
* Carry out accident and near:miss investigations and oversee fire safety management
* Facilitate HSEQ meetings and audits
* Maintain and update training materials, procedures, policies, and the training matrix
Skills and Experience
* Enthusiastic, motivated, and hands:on approach
* Strong background in manufacturing, ideally in a fast:paced environment
* Proven use of root cause investigation techniques such as 8D, 5 Why, and DMAIC
* NEBOSH or equivalent Health and Safety qualification
* Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels
* Confident IT user (Word, Excel, Email)
* Experience leading HSEQ meetings and presenting data effectively
