 CNC Router Programmer and Operator ~ Castle Donnington - Job Details
 A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced CNC Router Programmer and Operator to join a well-established precision engineering business based in Castle Donnington.
 In this role, you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC router machines to produce high-quality precision components to exact specifications. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to develop and optimise CNC programs 
Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, feeds, and machining paths 
Set up and calibrate CNC machines, ensuring precision and accuracy throughout production 
Load raw materials, monitor operations, and perform first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment 
Diagnose and resolve programming, tooling, and machining issues to minimise downtime 
Maintain machines and ensure all health, safety, and housekeeping standards are met 
Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to achieve targets 
Identify training and development needs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives 
Carry out any additional duties required to support production goals 
 What We're Looking For:
 
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and CAD models 
Experienced with Siemens machine controls and CAM software (Fusion) 
Skilled in operating CNC routers and manual XYZ lathes 
Strong understanding of material properties such as aluminium, stainless steel, and plastics 
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming issues 
GCSE (or equivalent) in numeracy and literacy 
Qualified through a time-served Engineering Apprenticeship or HNC/HND (or equivalent) 
Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills 
A detail-focused, adaptable individual who can work both independently and as part of a team 
 About the Role:
 This is a full-time, permanent position offering £13.96 per hour.
 You'll work 38 hours per week, with flexitime available — start anytime between 7:00am - 8:30am, Monday to Thursday (8 hours per day) and 6 hours on Fridays.
