IRecruit are currently seeking an experienced Plant Operator to work for a leading provider of powered access organisation from their depot in Billingham. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring arrival of plant machinery, specifically mounted trucks on site on time and to schedule and will provide help and guidance to the customer on the types of equipment available. A competitive salary is offered with time & a half overtime opportunities.
The Role
As a Plant Operator you will be required to ensure arrival of equipment on site at the correct time and provide flexibility throughout the hire. You will give advice and assistance to customers after having machinery related training and be competent in complying with health & safety guidelines and legislation. A highly focused customer role, you will be putting various people at the height they need to be at. Although the majority of work will be in the surrounding area of Billingham, their may be requirements to travel to other areas of the country and for this reason the successful candidate will need to have the flexibility to travel and stay in either a hotel or the truck cab form time to time, this may be a couple of times a week. In addition, there are times that you may be away all week but this is rare. Overtime is paid after 45 hours work whilst operating a truck of over 34m in height allows a premium of £3 per hour in addition.

Priding themselves on a strong service and good customer retention they now require a new Plant Operator to work from their Billingham based depot.
Requirements
· HGV Class 2 or 1 essential
· IPAF licence desirable but not essential
· Access machine experience preferable but not essential
· Flexibility to stay overnight and work on different days throughout the week
