Our team provides essential technical support and outage services for gas turbines, generators, compressors, and steam turbines across the UK and offshore.Your RoleAs a Graduate Engineer, you will be fully immersed within our Engineering function from day one. Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, you will be aligned to the department that best matches your technical strengths, interests, and development goals. How You’ll Make an Impact
4. Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support for operational issues on our Siemens Energy fleet, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
5. Outage Planning: Assist in the planning and preparation of outages for small or large gas turbines, generators, compressors, or steam turbines, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
6. Local Service Centres: Collaborate with local service centres to provide engineering guidance for repairs and the production of parts for our extensive fleet.
7. Global Collaboration: Work with the wider Siemens Energy network from around the world to ensure the best technical responses are provided, leveraging global expertise.
8. On-Site Support: Attend site visits to support outages and service issues, gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of turbine trains and their operations.
What You Bring
9. Educational Background: You must have graduated or be studying towards a degree (Graded 2:1 minimum) in Mechanical, Energy Systems, Aerospace, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Materials Science, Industrial or General Engineering.
10. Interpersonal Skills: Flexible, with the ability to connect with others and bring positive, forward-thinking ideas to the team.
11. Curiosity and Learning: A curious nature, willing to ask questions and learn from our highly experienced team.
12. Proactive Development: Seek out opportunities to strengthen your skills and enhance your knowledge, supporting both the business and your career development path.
13. Technical Understanding: Some understanding of principles such as CCGT operation, transformation of mechanical energy to electrical energy, and failure mechanisms is beneficial.
