Role Description
UKTEK Ltd is seeking a full-time Senior Smartphone Industrial Designer for an on-site position based in the United Kingdom. The role involves designing cutting-edge smartphone products by translating user needs, market trends, and technological capabilities into innovative design concepts. Responsibilities include creating functional and aesthetic prototypes, collaborating with engineering and marketing teams, conducting user research, and ensuring product feasibility from design to production.
Qualifications
* Industrial design expertise, with a focus on smartphones and consumer electronic devices
* Experience in creating concept sketches, 3D modeling, and prototyping
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production constraints
* Knowledge of user-centered design principles and user experience research
* Ability to convey ideas through detailed presentations and design visuals
* Proficiency in relevant design and modeling software such as CAD, Rhino, or SolidWorks
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Bachelor's or master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field
* Familiarity with the mobile technology and refurbished device industry is a plus
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-disciplinary teams
