Automation Sales Specialist Business Development Manager
Senior sales role for a solutions expert with a strong network and understanding of automation sales, materials handling, and headcount reduction machinery across various verticals.
Entrepreneurial opportunity with negotiable salary up to GBP75,000 plus super OTE
This is a six-figure senior sales role with car or allowance and 33 days holiday!
Location: Midlands / UK / On the Road
This is a 100% new business senior sales role focused on revenue generation, new account acquisition, and account development. It involves field sales, proactive technical selling, both on the road and in the office.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing high-quality bespoke solutions
* Cross-selling other group services and solutions
We seek a seasoned automation sales professional with experience selling solutions into manufacturing in the UK. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, focused on new business development, with at least 5 years of experience selling into UK manufacturing sectors such as automotive, construction, or general manufacturing.
Candidate profile:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in selling technical and automated engineering solutions
* Established contacts within target industries
* Proven field sales and new business hunter mentality
* Positive, proactive, and driven personality with a strong work ethic
* Mechanical qualification is a bonus but not essential
* Ability to communicate effectively with target customers, leveraging knowledge and contacts
* Self-motivated, transparent, down-to-earth, and a strong communicator
Reporting to the Sales Director, the role involves supplying manufacturing with engineered automation solutions, with opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
Location: Warwickshire-based HQ (SME Group UK Manufacturer with £30M T/O)
