Overview
We are looking for an experienced SENDCo to join a small independent special school that supports children and young people with dyslexia and related learning and communication needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong knowledge of special educational needs and a genuine passion for inclusive education. You will be a qualified teacher with a SENDCo qualification, able to balance strategic planning with hands-on support. Confidence in working with staff, families, and external professionals is key, alongside the ability to create and implement effective support plans.
Responsibilities
* Balance strategic planning with hands-on support for pupils, staff and families.
* Develop, implement and review effective SEN support plans.
* Collaborate with staff, families and external professionals to coordinate inclusive education.
Qualifications and qualities
* Qualified teacher with a SENDCo qualification.
* Strong knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive education.
* Confidence in working with staff, families and external professionals.
