Deputy Manager - Specialist Service - Learning Disabilities£14.50 per hour - Full time roleBungay, NorfolkMeridian Business Support are working with an established National Private Healthcare Provider client who are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in the day to day running of a home dedicated to Learning Disabilities based in the Bungay areof Norfolk.This is a great opportunity to join one of the UKs leading Private Healthcare providers as a Deputy Manager. Joing the company during a significant period of growth with excellent progression opportunities.Key duties and responsibilitiesSupport the Care Home Manager in daily operations and assume delegated duties in their absence.Lead and supervise care staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care aligned with residents' care plans.Monitor residents' well-being, adjust care plans, and manage medication.Oversee staff performance, training, and development, conducting appraisals and mentoring.Act as safeguarding lead in the Manager's absence, reporting concerns and ensuring compliance with policies.Ensure adherence to health, safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.Maintain communication with residents, families, and external professionals.Promote a positive work environment and encourage resident social engagement.Skills and attributesPrevious Deputy Home Manager experience.The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care.Ability to identify referral pathway for safeguarding adult/abuse.Good working knowledge of CQC standards.The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing team.Ability to promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home.What will you gain?You will have the satisfaction of working with and being supported by an enthusiastic and caring team that puts people at the heart of the business.
