What it's like to work here

We have a well-developed Project Management Framework and a thriving community of project and programme managers across the region. Our projects conserve and care for our properties; create new opportunities for people, landscapes and nature to thrive; deliver improved visitor facilities and develop new ways for people to experience and enjoy our properties. The list goes on! You’ll be part of the London and South East Specialist Delivery Team: a multidisciplinary team of experts, from curators and nature specialists to project managers and archaeologists, who provide specialist advice and support to our properties to help make things happen.

As this role covers the London and South East region, your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust hub office to your home. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.

What you'll be doing

As a Regional Project Support Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in the London and South East (LSE) Project Support Office. Working closely with your job-share partner, you’ll be the go‑to contact for project managers, senior leaders, sponsors and clients across the region - offering guidance and support on using the Project Management Framework.

You’ll help keep things running smoothly by coordinating the LSE project governance body (the LSE Property Investment Board). This includes organising agendas, bringing together key documents and taking clear, accurate minutes. You’ll also maintain strong links with other organisational governance boards, supporting forward planning and keeping our project pipeline information up to date.

By working alongside the regional project and programme leadership team, you’ll make sure our project reporting is accurate, timely and useful - helping to drive good governance, track progress and share learning. This is a varied and rewarding role where your work will directly support effective project planning and delivery, helping us bring our strategy to life.

Who we're looking for

1. Experience of working in a project context – including an awareness of project management tools and techniques.
2. Familiarity with project management frameworks and disciplines, including project governance.
3. Good data management, analysis, and processing skills.
4. Experience of providing secretariat function for meetings
5. Confident presenting and enthusiastic about finding engaging ways to distil data and information to share with different audiences.
6. Proficient at building relationships and sharing ideas and communicating in an open and constructive way.
7. Ability to work with autonomy, be accountable for your own work and work well in a team
8. Ability to organise and facilitate training and development activities such as webinars, workshops and events.
