How you’ll change it up
As an Area Commercial Manager, you’ll support the commercial and contractual management of telecoms projects, including new builds, city enhancements, BDUK government contracts, and field service frameworks. Your responsibilities include:
* Managing commercial resources and contract control
* Supporting project variations
* Assessing and mitigating risks
* Providing commercial expertise, including valuation certification, correspondence, claims, and performance data
* Delivering cost and value data at project and regional levels
* Mentoring junior team members
What you’ll bring to the role
Solid senior commercial management experience, procurement of contractors, and knowledge of NEC3 ECC forms are essential. A background in telecoms, civil engineering, or utilities is preferred. Additional qualifications include:
* Quantity Surveying experience
* Negotiation skills and creative problem-solving
* Experience managing large capital expenditure projects
* Data-driven financial reporting skills
* HNC/HND or equivalent education
