We're looking for a Healthcare Support Worker (Band 3) to join our specialist Forget Me Not Unit in Worthing, supporting women with dementia within an acute inpatient setting. This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding role, offering the chance to make a real difference to people living with dementia and their families, while developing your skills in a highly supportive, multidisciplinary environment. Experience is welcome but not essential - we're looking for people with the right values, compassion and motivation to learn.
* Supporting patients with daily living and personal care
* Working alongside nurses, consultants and the wider MDT
* Helping deliver a therapeutic and dementia-friendly care environment
* Communicating with patients, families and carers
* Observing, recording and reporting patient needs and progress
* A caring, compassionate and respectful approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to learning and personal development
* The ability to work shifts, including long days and nights
* Experience in dementia or mental health care is desirable but not essential - full support and training will be provided.
