Senior Science Technician
We are looking to appoint a Senior Science Technician with previous school experience. Part of your duties will be to prepare materials and equipment for planned practical lessons, carry out risk assessments, keep check of stock and dispose of waste appropriately. You will ensure there is effective support for practical work across the Science department.
This is a permanent role starting as soon as possible, working for 27.5 hours per week, term time only.
Responsibilities
* Arranging for apparatus to be available for lessons and students
* Preparing experiments, setting up apparatus and equipment for demonstrations and practical lessons
* Preparation of chemicals and solutions
* Promote the well-being of our students providing guidance and support
* Organise technical support for practical work across KS3, KS4 and KS5 Biology, Chemistry and Physics
* Assist the science teacher and/or pupils in supporting laboratory investigations across all Key Stages; may include giving assistance/advice to Trainee teachers and NQT’s
