About the Role
We are looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and reliable Cleaning Assistant to join our team at Northfield Primary School. This is a key role in helping maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all designated areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard.
* Carry out routine cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming dusting and sanitising surfaces.
* Refill and replace consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
* Report any faults or maintenance issues promptly.
* Maintain basic records as directed (e.g. cleaning schedules or stock levels).
Contract Details:
* Permanent position, working all year round
* 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Working hours: 3:30pm – 6pm daily
We are looking for someone who:
* Has a friendly manner and approachable manner with both staff and pupils
* Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Is proactive and takes pride in their work
* Has previous experience in a cleaning or facilities role (preferred but not essential).
