£13.71 per hour. Part‑time, night shift. 1 night per week at Fitzwilliam Court, Hoyland, Barnsley, with the opportunity for additional flexible hours.
Responsibilities
* Providing respectful, dignified personal care and emotional support to residents according to their needs and preferences.
* Preparing meals and refreshments and supporting residents with nutrition & hydration.
* Assisting with household and everyday living tasks, encouraging maximum independence.
* Supporting residents with medication and administering medication as needed.
* Enabling residents to participate in activities within the scheme and to enjoy relationships with others.
* Promoting residents’ health, wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
* Responding to changing needs, emergencies and supporting residents to live safely.
* Collaborating with residents, families, health professionals and housing officers to provide a coordinated service that meets desired outcomes.
Qualifications
Previous experience of providing care and support is desirable but not essential; full training is provided. Applicants must be compassionate, respectful, reliable, accountable and have a strong duty of care. A reasonable standard of verbal and written English is required. The role requires vigilance, responsiveness to emergencies, and the physical capability to assist with moving and positioning.
