Main Role The role requires you to carry out all assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company policies and Health & Safety procedures. You will support site operations, ensuring smooth material movement, plant operation, and adherence to production and safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Load and unload products within the yard area, working as part of a team and performing manual handling duties as required (bending, lifting, and carrying). * Operate site vehicles and equipment to transport materials around the site and load vehicles, often working outdoors. * Operate loading shovel and access platform equipment (valid certification required). * Maintain detailed knowledge of current manufacturing and processing procedures. * Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment, including routine maintenance and supporting production quality and output targets. * Immediately remove from service and report any defective or unsafe plant or equipment. * Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and reliability standards. * Provide flexibility to cover all technician roles across the plant as needed. * Maintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards across all work areas. * Support plant shutdowns and maintenance operations when required. * Identify and escalate plant quality or reliability issues promptly. * Ensure downtime escalation procedures are followed correctly. * Carry out any additional tasks designated by management safely, diligently, and in accordance with company policies. * Never attempt to access, operate, clean, alter, maintain, or repair any equipment, machinery, or vehicle unless fully trained and authorised to do so. Note: The above list is not exhaustive. You may be required to perform other duties to support operational and business needs. Person Specification * Good communication skills — essential for effective teamwork and daily coordination across the facility. * Valid Loading Shovel certificate — essential. * NVQ in Waste Management or equivalent — desirable but not essential (full training will be provided). * Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures. * Ability to work flexibly and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
