Full/Part-time: Full-time
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus standby rota with additional pay
Salary: Up to £54,000 per annum, depending on experience

Role Overview
Join our waste treatment team as a Generator Field Service Engineer. Your role involves maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing the performance of a fleet of CHP spark ignition biogas engines across Thames Water sites.
Location Flexibility
The role is geographically based within the Thames Valley and London area, with base locations depending on your residence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on CHP generators within a designated region.
2. Collaborate with support staff and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance.
3. Maintain accurate service records and reports.
4. Identify parts, lubricants, and waste for orders.
5. Prioritize health, safety, and well-being in all tasks.
6. Share skills and knowledge with team members through training.
Candidate Requirements
* Knowledge of operation and maintenance of internal combustion engines.
* Ability to perform diagnostics on engines and systems.
* Experience with engine/generator controls such as ComAp, DIA.NE, and TEM Evo.
* High-quality work ethic, capable of working independently or in a team.
* NVQ/C&G or engine manufacturer’s mechanical qualification preferred.
* Electrical qualifications are an advantage.
* Hands-on experience with internal combustion engines.
* Desirable: experience with bio/AD gas engines and CHP systems.
* Good communication skills.
* Valid UK driving license.
