Assistant Janitors perform all janitorial duties, including cleaning and school crossing patrols as required at:
We currently have a permanent vacancy on a 40-week contract within Schools and Nurseries in West Fife.

* Assistant Janitor - 25 hours per week, working from 7:30am to 12:30pm, on a permanent 40-week contract, Monday to Friday.
You will earn a competitive salary of £24,740.74 to £25,885.80 pro-rata and annualised pay, with access to benefits including:
* £13.18 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
* Pay is issued every 4 weeks and annualised for 40-week contracts.

Responsibilities include:
* Undertaking prescribed cleaning procedures and managing bodily fluid/spillages according to guidelines.
* Opening and securing educational establishments and grounds at designated times.
* Maintaining security in collaboration with relevant personnel and agencies.
* Willingness to undertake additional training as needed.
* Responding to emergency call-outs, including attending the site, liaising with authorities, inspecting for damage, and coordinating repairs or liaising with contractors/emergency services.
* Managing incidents such as fire, flooding, or accidents, liaising with staff and contractors.
The Person
Before appointment, you must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and join the relevant PVG scheme.
Ability to provide effective service independently or as part of a team.
You will need to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in the role.
