About The Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard/Stores Operative to join our team. This role is key in ensuring the smooth running of our depot, supporting both daily yard operations and stores management.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 45 hours per week working 6:00am- 3:00pm Monday- Friday (Some weekends maybe be required). Rate of pay is £12.50 per hour
The job duties will involve:
* Opening the depot as required.
* Carrying out general yard duties, including keeping the yard safe, clean, and organised.
* Receiving deliveries and checking incoming stock against paperwork.
* Issuing stock and materials to colleagues and customers in an accurate and timely manner.
* Maintaining accurate stock records and assisting with stock control.
* Supporting the wider team with additional tasks as needed.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to your work and enjoy working as part of a team. Experience of working in a yard, warehouse, or stores role would be advantageous (preferred but not essential – training can be provided).
Essential requirements include:
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic IT skills for stock recording and paperwork.
