Interaction Education are pleased to be supporting a great school in the Greenwich area, in their search for a Safeguarding officer to join the team on a long term, temporary contract. This role would suit someone who has previous experience in a safeguarding role, particularly within the school setting. The successful candidate will also need a DBS on the update service. The key responsibilities for this role can be found below: Key Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for safeguarding issues Receive, record, and respond to concerns or disclosures in line with policy Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are up to date and effectively implemented Provide advice, training, and support to staff and volunteers Liaise with external agencies, including social services and the police, when required Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with legislation Promote a culture of safety, vigilance, and accountability Skills & Experience: Experience in a safeguarding, social care, education, or support role Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice Excellent communication, judgement, and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Training in safeguarding (e.g., DSL/CPD-level) preferred If this sounds like the role for you, please apply or for more information contact Tom at Interaction Recruitment to discuss further: T - (phone number removed) E - Looking forward to receiving your application!
