Role: Customer Delivery Driver - Hanley Extra
Salary: rate of pay starts from £13.35 per hour; increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Hours: It is Tesco policy to offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; there are opportunities to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12).
Availability: The week availability windows are used to schedule contracted hours with 3 weeks notice of shifts. We support flexibility if your available times closely match but are not exact.
Overview: Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Customer Delivery Driver you will meet and talk to customers in their homes; this role is about delivering great service with a smile, not just driving. It is hands-on, physical, and varied, with support from Managers and colleagues back at the base.

* Fri: 13:00–22:00
* Sat: 18:00–22:00
Responsibilities (You will be responsible for):
* Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by keeping the van and trays clean, tidy, and organized.
* Leaving the back yard clean, tidy, and clear of rubbish; picking up litter as needed.
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Loading the van, checking roadworthiness.
* Talking to customers about changes to their order (short code items, substitutions) and offering refunds for any issues.
* Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
* Explaining substitutions without additional charges where applicable.
* Delivering within the customer's time slot.
* Calling the customer before arriving if early.
* Calling the store if running 30 minutes or more late.
Requirements (You will need):
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and support a great store environment.
* Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, showing appreciation.
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
* Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations; balance home and work life.
* Share ideas with management on store improvements.
* A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
