We are working with a well-regarded local Hertfordshire practice that has built a strong reputation for providing a broad range of accounting and tax services to small traders, individuals, and medium-sized businesses. The Role
As a Qualified Accountant, you will manage a diverse client portfolio and ensure high-quality service delivery. There is an opportunity to transition into a partnership, potentially taking over the practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, providing expert accounting and tax advice.
* Overseeing financial statements, VAT returns, payroll, and tax planning.
* Conducting audits and ensuring compliance with UK accounting regulations.
* Advising clients on financial planning, business structuring, and tax efficiencies.
* Maintaining strong client relationships and growing the firm’s portfolio through business development.
* Supporting the firm's long-term succession plan by taking on greater managerial and ownership responsibilities.
* Managing junior and senior staff.
Who We’re Looking For
This opportunity is ideal for a skilled, forward-thinking accountant:
* Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) or AAT with a willingness to study for chartered status.
* Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience.
* Strong technical expertise in accounting and tax for individuals and firms.
* Experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality financial services.
* Long-term vision for practice ownership.
* Strong leadership and development skills.
