Female Personal Assistant – Maternity Cover
Are you someone who is dependable, respectful, and passionate about making a positive difference in someone’s daily life? A Female Personal Assistant is needed in the Cambuslang area to support a friendly and independent individual in their everyday routines – someone who values their privacy, autonomy, and ability to lead life on their own terms.
This part-time maternity cover post is available (16-24hrs per week negotiable) immediately until 30th January 2026. This post will be subject to a one-month probationary period.
Rate of pay: £12.60 per hour
Location: Cambuslang
Accountable to: Manager of SDS Package
About the Role
This is an opportunity to be part of someone’s daily life in a meaningful way. As a Personal Assistant, you’ll be helping with a range of tasks that support health, wellbeing, independence, and community involvement. This might include:
* Personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating
* Medication administration and daily record keeping
* Light household tasks – laundry, cleaning, changing bedding
* Cooking and supporting healthy meal planning
* Shopping and managing household supplies
* Attending medical appointments and organising social activities
* Helping to maintain a safe and supportive environment
* Use of equipment like wheelchairs and sensory items
You'll also be asked to carry out any other reasonable duties that arise as part of this individual’s day-to-day life.
Training and Support
Full training will be provided and may include:
* First Aid
* Moving and Assisting
* Health & Safety
* Impairment-specific training
Additional training will be arranged as needed to support your development.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
Essential:
* Professional and positive in approach
* Flexible – hours may include occasional wakened nights
* Experienced in personal care and Moving & Assisting
* Willing to attend relevant training
* PVG scheme member
* Able to provide references from previous employers
Desirable:
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Familiarity with specialised equipment (training will be given)
