Job Summary
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated Consultant to work in our Mental Health Home Treatment Team situated in the north of the County. This full-time post is based at the Hillcrest Unit in Redditch and supported by a SAS grade colleague. Designated office space, a Trust laptop, and a smartphone will be provided.
The Trust is committed to delivering outstanding mental health care, supporting leadership development, and practicing social inclusion. Less than full-time and flexible working applicants are encouraged to apply, with consideration given to flexibility in your timetable. There is a weekly local teaching program and a Trust Grand Rounds monthly. You will be supported in your CPD and development of a special interest. You will join a supportive, cohesive group of consultants working together to provide local services. This post is eligible for relocation expenses for suitable candidates, as per the attached policy.
Main Duties
Herefordshire & Worcestershire NHS Trust covers over 500 square miles and a population of around one million, including Worcester, Kidderminster, and Redditch. The North Locality has two Home Treatment Teams covering approx. 25 and 28 GP surgeries respectively, offering intensive patient care as an alternative to hospital admission, supporting discharge, and providing a 72-hour Crisis Support Service. The post involves close collaboration with inpatient wards, crisis teams, liaison teams, and community services, with leadership oversight from the Lead for HT North.

Requirements
* MBBS or equivalent
* CCT holder or within 6 months of eligibility
* Full GMC registration and Licence to practice
* MRC Psych or equivalent
* Approval under Section 12 (2) of the Mental Health Act or eligible for it
* Right to work in the UK
Experience and Skills
* Provision of high-quality mental health services as trainee or Consultant
* Experience in clinical leadership and teamwork
* Excellent communication, diplomacy, and clinical efficiency
