Precision EngineerPertemps are currently working with a prestigious manufacturing company based near Bordon who are looking for a Precision Engineer / Tool Maker to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position.Responsibilities as a Precision Engineer / Tool Maker:- Working from CAD / CAM files, engineering drawings and sketches to evaluate the most appropriate machining and assembly methods on assigned tools- Produce tooling and component drawings- Preparation, modification and maintenance of existing tooling- Report any machine and equipment faults or defects- Working with precision injection machines- Participate in the sampling of tools to ensure functionality and adherence to engineering and quality standards- Work closely with other departments implementing best practice "LEAN" techniquesRequirements:- Experience working within a toolroom or precision engineering environment- Proficient in operating and maintaining machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders- Able to perform precision machining tasks- Strong attention to detail- Problem-solving mindset with focus on continuous improvement- Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials used in mould-makingWorking hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 5.30pm and Friday 7.30am - 12.15pm.
