About the Role
Are you a motivated, detail-oriented individual looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your career in finance? We're looking for a Junior Financial Controller to support our growing business. As a Junior Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in assisting with all aspects of financial accounting, from day-to-day financial transactions to month-end reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified finance professional who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Support with the budgeting and forecasting process.
Maintain accurate financial records and help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Process and review financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Assist with VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and payroll queries.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.
Work closely with senior finance professionals to drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
Qualifications
A recently qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) or an Apprentice Level 6 or 7.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A high level of proficiency in Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
Enthusiastic about learning and growing within a supportive, collaborative environment.
An interest or experience in property development or construction is a bonus, but not essential.
