First impressions
are everything. And you’ll set the tone for every guest’s stay. When a guest walks into our Hotel – imagine
that first look around they take, followed by that sigh of relief because
they’ve arrived to their home away from home, be it for a night or a week, and
it’s perfect. Everything is working just the way it should.
What you’ll do
You will work alongside a team of Maintenance Technicians with
many years of experience in varied roles, initially working on basic maintenance
tasks you will be completing tasks and learning varied skills such as
* carrying out any repair or rectifying
any maintenance issues throughout the hotel as and when they arise
* respond to and attend to
guest repair requests
* perform preventative
maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical equipment
* report any new or
developing engineering works that need to be addressed to the Engineering
Manager
* assist with maintaining the
physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical,
mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc
* Assist with energy saving
and green initiatives within the hotel
* Work alongside a mentor
within the department, to learn a variety of skills
As well as on the job training, your
Level 2 certificate in Facilities Service Operative will be completed through Train Together over a 24
month period and includes time spent at the
beginning of the programme completing your enrolment & initial functional
skills assessments, as well as an End point assessment to complete your
training and gain your qualification.
