Job Description:
Purpose of the Role
The Smoke Control Department is a pivotal role focused on driving the growth and success of the Fire division. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise, supporting new enquiries and customers, and identifying opportunities for business expansion through cross-selling and strategic engagement with clients. The role also involves delivering high-quality service through project management, quoting, and ensuring safety compliance, with a must-have understanding of AOV systems.
Key areas:
1. Business Development
* Act as the primary technical support for new enquiries and potential customers.
* Identify and engage with clients not currently using smoke control services, presenting tailored solutions.
* Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to promote cross-selling.
* Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities in the sector.
1. Enquiry Handling and Quoting
* Manage incoming enquiries related to smoke control systems.
* Conduct site surveys and develop accurate, competitive quotations.
* Prepare proposals for remedial works during maintenance activities.
2. Project Management and Delivery
* Ensure projects meet standards and client expectations.
* Coordinate with teams and subcontractors for timely delivery.
* Monitor progress and resolve issues promptly.
3. Compliance and Documentation
* Ensure RAMS are uploaded and assigned correctly.
* Maintain health and safety compliance.
* Oversee quality assurance to meet standards.
4. Client and Stakeholder Communication
* Serve as the main contact for enquiries and projects.
* Provide technical support and advice.
* Communicate clearly with stakeholders.
5. Reporting and Analysis
* Track performance metrics like revenue and customer satisfaction.
* Provide insights to senior management for strategic decisions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* Revenue growth in the smoke control division.
* Conversion rate of enquiries to projects.
* Success rate of cross-selling opportunities.
* Compliance with RAMS and safety standards.
* Customer satisfaction and retention.
Working Conditions:
* Initial onboarding and training in the office, followed by onsite meetings and shadowing.
* Hybrid working, predominantly home-based, with site visits and office attendance 2-3 times a month. This will be reviewed during probation.
