We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our Data Science team here at Harrods. You will be a part of our digital transformation, at a time where we are investing heavily in both our technology and our people
About The Role
The data science team works across the business, and the successful candidate is likely to work with stakeholders from Loyalty & CRM, Buying & Merchandising, Food Production, IT, and more. This will sometimes involve presenting to Heads of and senior department members.
In the role you will;
* Work with data engineering to acquire the initial data to perform the work
* Collect, clean, and prepare data for modelling
* Perform machine learning, predictive modelling, and hyperparameter tuning
* Resolve accrued technical debt, when prioritised
* Adhere to the processes and ways-of-working of the data science team
About You
The ideal candidate will have precious experience implementing Data Science solutions and models, with practical experience of at least one domain of data science modelling. We are looking for someone who has strong analytical insights, and a good grasp of statistics through a STEM background.
You will have the following;
* Previous experience of development and deployment of predictive models using Python
* Familiarity with a cloud platform provider
* Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team
* Previous experience dealing with senior stakeholders
* Excellent time management skills
