An exciting opportunity has arisen to within our Computer Science Programme Area to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic IT Professional to join our lecturing team and inspire the next generation.
As a Lecturer in Computing, you will be dedicated to excellence in teaching, learning and assessment. Experience of successful delivery across a range of computer-related subjects, levels and age groups is required.
You should also have experience of delivering high-quality teaching to both Further Education students including adults.
You will be qualified to at least:
Level 4 in the vocational area
Achieved a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in maths and English (e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above)
Be fully qualified teacher e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE or be willing to work towards obtaining a teaching qualification.
If you do not hold a suitable teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain this as part of our investment in your professional development.
You should have experience of delivering a range of topics including Networking, Cybersecurity and IT Support. Having programming skills and BTEC or Digital T level experience would also be an advantage. Having knowledge of maths for computing would be desirable. Any other experience of other vendor certifications such as Cisco, CompTIA, AWS would also be an advantage.
