This is a great opportunity for an experienced and ideally qualified (but QBE also considered) finance professional, to join a small, friendly, and supportive company and assist the Accountant with daily financial administrative tasks.
Finance Administrator Responsibilities
* Handle rent allocations, set up and manage contracts in Sage for new tenancies, service charges, and insurances
* Prepare monthly CIS returns and set up HMRC for CIS
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts and petty cash
* Process invoices and purchase orders
* Manage vehicles, insurances, tax, MOT, and tax recording
* Generate weekly cash and debtor reports, including chasing overdue debts
* Manage petty cash payments and perform general office duties
Finance Administrator Rewards
Alongside a competitive salary, benefits include:
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
* Auto-enrollment pension scheme
* Permanent Health Insurance
* Death in Service benefit
* On-site free car parking (must be able to drive, as location is rural)
The office is set in a scenic countryside with nearby walks and a local café for lunch.
This is a part-time, permanent role working 28 hours weekly, fully office-based. Monday must be a working day, with the remaining days spread over the week across 4 or 5 days.
The interview process includes an in-person interview and a skills test, focusing on Excel proficiency.
The Company
Our client is an agricultural and property business with a rich heritage.
Experience Required
To succeed, you should be a great team fit with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You must be an experienced finance professional, self-motivated, and a team player capable of working independently. Knowledge of the CIS scheme and VAT transactions is essential, as the organization uses various tax and VAT codes. You should be supportive, willing to assist in non-finance areas such as answering calls and greeting visitors. Due to the complexity of the organization, in-depth finance experience is required. A relevant finance qualification is desirable but not essential; experience and competency are more important.
