Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools

Milk Education are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to support Primary Schools across Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a classroom environment. We have flexible opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements and potential permanent roles.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities

2. Working with small groups of pupils or providing 1:1 support

3. Assisting children with additional learning needs, including SEN

4. Helping to create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment

5. Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and classroom tasks

The Ideal Candidate

6. Experience working with children in an education, childcare or youth setting

7. A passion for supporting children’s learning and development

8. Strong communication and teamwork skills

9. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

10. Relevant qualifications or experience as a Teaching Assistant are desirable but not essential
