You'll also work closely with the wider teams in digital, TV and audio and work with reporters to create explainers, as well as being able to reversion content into engaging social formats.
Please contact social media lead Kristie Kinghorn for more information on the role.

Experience of working in a daily news environment with the ability to work to tight deadlines to turn around content
A good understanding of media law and the BBC's editorial guidelines
If you can bring some of these skills and experience, along with transferable strengths, we'd love to hear from you and encourage you to apply.
As part of the application process you will be required to create an explainer reel for Instagram between 30 and 90 seconds on this news story about South Tyneside Council paying for first-class train tickets. We are looking to see your creativity in selling the news story on socials in a clear and engaging way. Here is an article on the story - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c20z9n5vpe4o.
