Established for more than 60 years supplying subcontract services for a range of industries including aerospace, medical and oil sectors. We are currently recruiting for a an experience assembly technician / instrument fitter to join our assembly team.
Job summary
In this role you'll be assembling mechanical and electro mechanical components ins small sized batches. You will be responsible for ensuring that the high standards of quality are maintained for these products whilst meeting delivery deadlines.
Working in a small team you will play a key part in the production activities and will be flexible in carrying out the work involved. The products are relatively small and light and assembled at individual benches.

Skills and experience Assemble precision instruments to a high standard
Fit bearings, shafts, dowels, etc
Work to drawings, procedures and specifications
Understand fits and tolerances
Use hand tools and measuring equipment
Wiring and soldering
Working to ISO 9001 quality standard
Addition experience preffered Must be vigilant and diligent, with a good attention to detail, and able to maintain high standards of work
Use of literacy skills to complete route cards, records, etc
An industrious and enquiring individual working alone or as part of a team, without direct supervision
Proven skills within an engineering environment - 5 years + experience preffered
Willing to work overtime when required to achieve delivery dates
