We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. Duties
* Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
* Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
* Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items meet food safety standards
* Maintain cleanliness of the coffee shop, including tables, counters, and equipment
* Handle cash and card transactions efficiently while providing receipts to customers
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
* Provide catering services for events when required
* Uphold high standards of hospitality to enhance customer satisfaction
Skills
* Previous experience in a restaurant or café environment is advantageous
* Barista experience preferred, with knowledge of various coffee brewing methods
* Strong food safety awareness to ensure compliance with health regulations
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in catering and food preparation
* Strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently throughout shifts

Pay: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 12 per week
