RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HOUSING ASSET MANAGEMENT LEAD To work collectively and collaboratively as part of the Housing Leadership Team, to ensure high quality, affordable services are delivered to the residents of East Suffolk. To lead the strategic planning and programming of the investment in the Council’s housing assets: Oversee the completion of 100% Stock Condition (incl. HHSRS) Surveys, Develop significant investment programmes (including compliant procurement processes) for existing homes based on sound asset information obtained from the Stock Condition Surveys, Lead the Implementation of a new (c.£12M) Warm Homes Scheme, including oversight of a significant procurement programme Development of a new Asset Management Strategy for the HRA Portfolio Keeping up to date with legislative and policy changes and ensuring the service adapts to meet any changes as required and is fully compliant with relevant regulatory or statutory obligations. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE HOUSING ASSET MANAGEMENT LEAD Proven experience within a construction, property or design environment. Previous experience of managing projects from inception to delivery. Experience of developing multi-year work programmes. Detailed understanding of design and construction techniques or a similar property-focused environment. Proven track record of implementation of processes. Experience of and ability to manage and organise a team of professionals. Thorough knowledge and understanding of CDM regulations. Commercially astute. Solid understanding of the legal process relating to housing development. Demonstrate clear ambition to deliver amazing places and spaces. Confident communicator, with effective interpersonal skills Good people management skills, including the ability to motivate a team to perform to their optimum ability. Relevant built environment Level 6 qualification. Evidence of continuing professional development A commitment to own development and to supporting training and development initiatives. Must be mobile / have access to a car to attend business meetings at other sites / locations within the district on a regular basis. Flexible and willing to work outside of normal working hours.
