About the role
* Contribute to the design, delivery, and development of modules offered by Leeds Beckett International Study Centre. Prepare and deliver teaching lectures, seminars, and tutorials, with variable hours up to 25 hours per week.
* Write and prepare examinations and other assessment methods.
* Mark assessments and provide feedback, including tutorials and student reports.
* Develop and update course materials, including Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) content.
* Assist with induction, orientation, and registration programs.
* Collaborate with colleagues to support student welfare and progression.
* Track student progress and implement intervention strategies.
* Act as a Personal Tutor for student groups.
* Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed and contribute to course reviews.
* Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.
* Participate in quality assurance meetings and university governance.
* Attend training and maintain a record of professional development activities.
About you
* A Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or industry experience. Current Master’s students with relevant experience will also be considered.
* Relevant teaching qualification or experience working with students.
* Experience designing modules at Level 4.
* Experience teaching computer science and engineering modules in UK higher or further education, including lab-based teaching, or relevant industry experience.
* Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming (Java, Python).
* Web design skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
