Job responsibilities
Clinical
* Provide and deliver high standards of nursing care, assessing, planning, and evaluating patient needs based on evidence.
* Report and document relevant nursing/patient needs, communicate changes with healthcare professionals, and maintain ongoing responsibility for patient care.
* Promote health education and advise patients, families, and others on health promotion issues.
* Engage with carers/family, encouraging active involvement in patient care planning.
* Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient-centered care.
* Supervise, assess, mentor, and support junior staff, including bank and agency staff.
* Share best practices and support professional development within the ward/directory.
* Implement infection control practices.
* Undertake manual handling assessments and ensure actions are met.
* Maintain knowledge of safeguarding and take responsibility for ongoing care of children in need.

* NMC Registered Nurse
