The Role
* Looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to manage and grow key accounts while identifying new business opportunities across the UK and Europe.
* This is a dynamic role combining account management and business development, suited to someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to customer engagement.
* Manage and develop relationships with key national accounts
* Identify and win new business opportunities within target markets
* Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
* Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry exhibitions across the UK & EU
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing movements
* Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, operations) to ensure smooth delivery
* Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting - SAGE 200
* Regular travel across the UK & Europe (customers, exhibitions)
* Occasional visits to suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centres
Requirements
* 5-7 years' experience in Sales/ chemical B2B sales (raw materials)
* Strong account management and relationship-building skills
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive and proactive approach
* Proven ability to develop sales strategies and drive revenue growth
* Experience managing and mentoring team members
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Industry knowledge
* Training in REACH, ISO, or similar - desirable
