An exciting opportunity for a Group Credit Manager has become available at our Head Office. This challenging yet rewarding role involves leading Credit Control for our group of companies, reporting to the Finance Director. The role includes overseeing credit-related activities such as managing risk, developing and implementing credit policies, and managing the team. This is an office-based role at our Head Office in Shirley, near the M42.
The successful candidate will:
* Have prior experience working within a busy credit control team
* Have strong financial understanding
* Possess problem-solving skills
* Be confident leading a team
* Be self-motivated and driven
* Have excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Key tasks will include:
* Being the lead contact with Credit Insurers, monitoring insured limits, submitting claims, and assisting in negotiations
* Organising and leading monthly meetings with senior management
* Providing management information on debts, debtor days, collections, and other reports
* Managing cash collection for all Group companies
* Ensuring departmental systems and protocols are effective
* Overseeing the Credit Control Department and managing the team
* Processing credit applications and managing credit decisions
* Controlling credit limits and managing litigation or insolvency cases
* Setting credit policies and managing credit notes
* Assessing risk for existing and new credit applicants
* Maintaining relationships with stakeholders
* Reviewing sales Terms and Conditions
* Visiting customers and sites as needed
