The Headteacher and Governing Body of Lakeside Primary School wish to appoint a permanent class teacher to start in September 2026.

The Headteacher and Governing Body are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled class teacher to join our dedicated team. Lakeside Primary School is a richly multicultural, fully inclusive and vibrant primary school, with a Local Authority SRB for Emotional Health and Wellbeing.

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking to appoint a class teacher to join our nurturing and happy school. The right candidate will have experience teaching and leading an AoLE, be able to plan strategically and have the ability to motivate and inspire a varied team of staff to improve teaching and learning over the whole school. The successful candidate must also be an excellent practitioner and hold high expectations of what all pupils can achieve.

We have an exciting opportunity for a class teacher who:

●Is an excellent classroom practitioner who inspires all children to reach their full potential through high quality learning experiences

●has high expectations of themselves and of our children

●can create a motivating learning environment

●is able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of Curriculum for Wales, numeracy and literacy framework and the skills framework

●is able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of ALNET and meeting the needs of all learners

●is prepared to contribute to the wider curriculum of our school, including pupil voice groups and after school clubs

•Have high expectations that motivate, support and challenge pupils;

•Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Under the Teacher and Higher Education Act 1998 and the Teachers (Compulsory Registration) Wales Regulations 2000, every qualified teacher, who is employed in a maintained school must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
