The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic employment law solicitor to join our Employment, Pensions and Immigration National Service line (NSL), based in Birmingham. You will advise employers on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters across the health and care sector and engage in business development to promote the firm's practice.
The Birmingham team handles a variety of sectors, including health and care clients (private and NHS), commercial clients (automotive, manufacturing, retail), and higher education institutions.
The person
You should have at least 2 years' experience as an employment lawyer, gained in a reputable law firm or in-house. You must be self-starting, sensible, and proactive, with the ability to work well in a team on complex issues. Excellent time and document management skills, keen attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills are essential. Experience supporting health and care clients is desirable.
The team
You will work with Jog Hundle, Employment Partner, and other members of our Birmingham employment team. You may also assist colleagues from other offices as part of the cross-office NSL led by partner David Mills.
