We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Governance Officer to join our Audit and Governance team. We are looking for someone who will be our single point of contact for all data protection related enquiries, who can provide clear and pragmatic advice on general information security and governance risks. The postholder will support all departments across the council in relation to information governance, this can include privacy impact assessments, data breach investigation, subject access requests and other enquiries from the public and members of staff. The role includes supporting compliance with data protection legislation, most notably the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as all aspects of information monitoring and reporting. The postholder will lead on a range of exciting and high-impact projects that shape our approach to information governance and data management.
